I would like to formally take the time to invite you to join the Lehigh Valley Dietetic Association for the upcoming 2008-2009 year.
In past years, membership has been declining; it is our hopes that you would take the time to consider helping us grow the district.
If you were questioning what types of opportunities are
provided with your membership to help you grow professionally? Please take the
time to review some of the Goals the LVDA board has decided to make number one
priority level during the upcoming year.
I invite you to join and become involved to help LVDA become
recognized for all the great activities going on in the Lehigh Valley district.

Goals for 2008-2009

· Enhance LVDA member understanding of the ADA Grassroots legislative initiative Program |

Increase LVDA participation in grassroots efforts, including increasing reimbursement |

Partner with Cedar Crest College to create a centralized location for continuing education programs and board meetings |

Offer frequent, diverse opportunities for continuing education credits to assist LVDA members in meeting registration and licensure requirement |
|
Facilitate professional networking by offering regular social events |
|
Support the educational endeavors of both nutrition students and practicing dietitians through a generous scholarship program |
|
Increase the use of technology in the district via more frequent e-mail communication and enhanced use of the website |
